Photographic equipment information

Nikon D5100: The D5100 is a camera made by Nikon to take photos and record video. The D5100 was released in 2011 April 5th meaning it is just over 6 years old and there are newer models which could appeal to a photography target audience. The D5100 costs around £315 and reviews on shopping websites such as amazon show it is highly recommended. These cameras are also very good with the assistance of a tripod and monopod. A tripod is something that helps steady the camera so that there is no blur in the shot and during recording there is no unintentional shaking of the camera. In addition there is also a monopod. A monopod is like a tripod but only has 1 leg instead of 3. This is because in many populated areas for example London some areas people are not allowed to use tripods. The monopod is useful as your own 2 legs make the shape of a tripod. The cost a tripod is £53 however there are multiple types of tripods all which has its benefits and differences. The cost of a monopod is £15

Carousel week 2/ week 3 evaluation

Process and method and research: Yesterday we were assigned the task of making an advert to sell the Bic 4 colour pen. We started off by brainstorming ideas on what we could do and how we could do it. In our groups we wrote down our ideas and thoughts so that they could later be pitched to the rest of the class. We came up with the idea of  "Someone's nicked my Bic!" We decided this idea as shown in the brief it mentions that Bic's are normally stolen showing that this idea could pop up within the advert. After brainstorming we pithed the ideas to the rest of the class. We pitch ideas because there can be other ideas which meet the criteria better and will be more successful. When we had pitched our ideas we voted for the best idea. We vote because it shows communication and decision making skills and in the media industry teamwork is commonly use. As soon as we had voted we were able to be assigned a job so that we could contribute to the final production. I was giv

Premier pro first experience

Last week me and the other members of the class had the great opportunity to use premier pro for the first time. This lesson we edited videos which we recorded the week before also known as induction week. We used premier pro as it was the software provided to us although I think that premier pro also makes the work look professional. We were given a video tutorial on how to use the software and it showed the key activities we would need to do for example importing content. To start we imported several bits of film we recorded and made note of what scene and take it was along with a description of what happened in the specific video. After watching back what we recorded we needed to crop some parts as there was disruptions and mistakes made. We cropped these bits out because otherwise it would make the work look sloppy in addition with it being cropped everything would flow nicely. In this we edited some areas of audio so that we could overlay it with music. We did this because we orig
